Yan Chai Charity Walk 2023 was held at Tsuen Wan Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground after a three-year hiatus. The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Cheung Chiu Hoi Yue, Alice, JP, Director of Home Affairs accompanied by Ms. Mary Suen, Chairman of Yan Chai Hospital Board officiated the lion eye-dotting and ribbon-cutting ceremony. « Yan Chai Charity Walk Ambassador” Jade Kwan, Owen Cheung and Brain Chu, with the emcee Leonard Cheng showed up to support the charity walk.
This year, Yan Chai Charity Walk 2023 first-ever collaborated with the popular characters of emoji® — The Iconic Brand, showing the fun and playful emoji® brand faces through the event. The walking route started from Tsuen Wan Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground, passing scenic locations such as Pineapple Dam in Shing Mun Reservoir and the main dam. With the pandemic subsiding, participants took off their masks to breathe fresh air along the way, and enjoyed the scenery at the Shing Mun Reservoir. Yan Chai prepared a lot of decorations featuring the emoji® brand, participants even had emoji® brand tattoos applied to their faces and arms, everyone enjoyed the vibe and the fun throughout the walk.
During the ceremony, Mr. Leo Cheng, Board Director and Function Chairman of the Yan Chai Charity Walk 2023 expressed his gratitude to all sponsors and participants for their support. Close to 80 teams participated in this year’s event, including Casablanca, KCMG, Mr and Mrs. Tai Kwan On, SML, Life In Motion, Fung Ying Seen Koon, The Yuen Yuen Institute, Wong’s International Holdings Limited, Love U All Charitable Foundation, World Plaza Engineering Ltd., Tsuen Wan Trade Association, Shinji Shumeikai of Hong Kong Ltd., Hong Kong Chung Shan Lung Chan Clan Association, Nova Caring Team, Mr. Ho Tak Sum BBS, MH and Miss Ho Ivy Yuen-wei, Honorary Director of Yan Chai Hospital Board, Tsuen Wan Rural Committee, Tsuen Wan Fire Safety Ambassador Management Committee. Over 3,000 people walked from Tsuen Wan Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground to Shing Mun Reservoir, making a united effort to support Yan Chai.
